Our Team

At Kadosh Initiative for Justice and Environmental Development (KIJED), our management team is more than a leadership body we are a movement of passionate change makers driven by a shared vision of a just, equitable, and sustainable society. Our diverse backgrounds in public policy, gender and peacebuilding, development practice, human rights, environmental justice, and youth empowerment form the backbone of our transformative impact across Nigeria.
Operating in over 50 communities across 11 states, our leadership team brings together decades of cumulative experience, community-rooted insights, and results-driven innovation to create bold, scalable solutions for some of the most pressing social and environmental challenges in our region.

Our Commitment: From the Streets to Policy Halls

Whether we’re engaging with a child in a slum, mentoring a youth leader, or contributing to policy reform, our commitment remains the same: to build a just world where everyone especially the most marginalized can thrive in peace, dignity, and prosperity.
The management team of Kadosh Initiative for Justice and Environmental Development is proud to be part of this mission. We do not see our work as charity it is justice. And we will continue to lead with courage, compassion, and conviction

Our Core Identity: Passion-Driven and People-Centered

We are a team grounded in empathy, equity, and action. What unites us is an unrelenting passion for amplifying the voices of the marginalized, especially women, children, and young people. Each member of our management team has spent years working in conflict-affected areas, underserved communities, and with vulnerable groups, building trust, co-creating solutions, and advocating for systems that leave no one behind.
Our leadership structure is intentionally inclusive balancing strategic oversight with grassroots immersion. We believe that solutions must be co-owned with the people they serve. That is why we are frequently found not just in boardrooms, but also in schools, marketplaces, rural communities, and among displaced populations listening, learning, and leading from within.

Our Leadership Culture

What makes our management team unique is not just our skills, but how we work together. We operate through a shared leadership model, emphasizing collaboration over hierarchy and impact over ego. Strategic decisions are informed by data, guided by local wisdom, and grounded in the lived experiences of our target communities.
We invest heavily in internal capacity development, professional learning, and staff well-being believing that strong, resilient teams build strong, resilient societies. Our open-door leadership style encourages feedback, innovation, and continuous improvement.
We are not afraid to ask difficult questions, challenge the status quo, or disrupt systems of injustice. Yet, we approach our work with humility, curiosity, and hope knowing that transformation takes time, trust, and collective action.

“Together, we rise. Together, we transform. Together, we build.”

Collective Expertise: Strategic, Practical, Transformative

Our team members bring multidisciplinary expertise across the following key areas:
  • Project Management and Strategic Planning – We lead with clarity and foresight, managing multi-sectoral programs across education, health, environment, peacebuilding, and social justice. From ideation to execution, we ensure that each intervention is context-specific, scalable, and sustainable.
  • Youth Empowerment and Leadership Development – With initiatives like the Rising Leaders Training and Mentoring Programme (Change Project)—which has trained over 10,000 young leaders since 2015—our team demonstrates a proven ability to inspire, coach, and equip the next generation of changemakers.
  • Child Protection and Social Inclusion – Through our flagship Street to Star Project, we are leading a campaign to rescue and rehabilitate 4,000 children from street life in Edo and Delta States over five years. This intervention is managed by specialists with backgrounds in social work, education, and trauma-informed care.
  • Conflict Sensitivity and Peacebuilding – Members of our team are certified political advisors and peacebuilders with experience supporting the United Nations, African Union, and regional peacekeeping efforts. We bring this expertise home by promoting community dialogue, conflict resolution, and violence prevention at the local level.
  • Gender Equality and Women’s Rights – As champions of gender justice, our leadership actively integrates a gender lens into all programs. From economic empowerment for rural women to gender-based violence prevention, our team brings deep advocacy experience, research knowledge, and a feminist commitment to equity.
  • Environmental and Climate Justice – Understanding the intersection between environmental degradation and social inequality, our team has led projects on reforestation, circular economy, climate-smart agriculture, and plastic waste management—empowering communities to become environmental stewards.
  • Advocacy, Policy Engagement, and Movement Building – With decades of combined work in civil society organizing, legislative advocacy, and media engagement, we are well-versed in influencing policies and shifting narratives. Our leaders have been instrumental in the adoption of charters, declarations, and reforms at state and national levels.

Looking Forward: Scaling Impact with Integrity

As we grow, our management team remains focused on expanding our reach while deepening our impact. We are currently designing replicable models for youth rehabilitation, climate-resilient community development, and inclusive governance frameworks—with an eye on regional and continental relevance.
We seek to strengthen our institutional capacity in proposal development, donor engagement, digital innovation, and evidence-based advocacy. And we welcome new partners who share our passion for justice, dignity, and transformation.
